Circulation

The mind has been sifting and wandering a lot recently, so this is going to be scattered.

To begin, I'd like to direct you to my newly acquired Flicker account. I have a lot of photography which has been patiently resting within my computer for years, collecting digital dust; so I've decided to upload my work and share it with everyone.

I'd encourage you to create a Flicker account as well, it's very easy to register and get started. After all, you never know when the hard drive might decide to conk out on ya.

Secondly, over the past week I've become especially interested in a podcast called Mystic Mind, created by a guy named Jesse Miller who has been producing some pretty impressive shows which definitely resonate with me and where I'm at. His podcast incorporates some personal reflections, music, entheogenic musings and the occasional audio recording (Joseph Campbell, Alan Watts, John C. Lilly, just to name a few). It all blends together and cyrstalizes into a pleasurable listening experience. There is much information and insight to digest here - as described on his website the 'cast covers topics such as, "the occult, conspiracy, magick, alchemy, and the use of entheogens & psychedelics". Good one, Jesse - I'll definitely stay tuned.

Finally, I'll leave you with a zine of sorts. Here are some notes I jotted down last night which I recorded in my journal,

"I must say, in the short lapse of time I've spent on this beautifully mysterious planet, I've really had a great time.

Where else in the universe can I experience myself (my ego) die and subsequently be re-born simply by swallowing some fruit? Where else can one swim in the great seas and spread out on the beach, basking and surrendering to the pulse of the Sun? Where else can we shake and swing, grind and throb, jump and stomp, spin and leap with the elegant web of vibration that surrounds us? Where else in this Expanse can individuals sit down, communicate virtual ideas through a holographic mind space and connect and transmit information and love into eachothers minds and hearts?

Who else is given the freedom to create and build environments which can either create and convert or control and destroy?

Either way, we end up becoming involved in all four - we just need some balance. As a wise man still says, "everything in moderation"

I think all I'm searching for is peace of mind. Seriously though; fuck material obsession and high spending. We live in a culture which is led by the least among us. Consumeconsumeconsume. Keep breeding. We're trained to operate - like mice! It's not grounded in humanity! IT which is unconsciously lurking within each of our minds (ie: the shadow), can either be recognized for what it is - accepted - and transformed or the cultural slime-like residue which consists of greed, consumerism, fear, and hierarchy will prevail.

It's collapsing and trying to take everyone down with it."

So I've been away from the blog for a little over a week because I've been up at my place (which does not grant me access to the net at the moment) working on a few musical creations, chilling with friends, and working on a podcast I'm putting together.

If you've not heard or listened to a podcast (Personal On Demand broadCAST.). you can read about them here. I'd definitely encourage you to check them out. I maintain that podcasting/webcasting is a brilliant new resource and technological development which has changed the way ideas and information can be distributed and absorbed via electronic networking.

Simply put - it's aiding in creating incredibly diverse communities and encouraging creativity. Think of these "communities" as non-local cyber tribes. They're linking up, organizing gatherings, sharing ideas and inspiring human connection, while simultaneously creating and sustaining harmonious networks of people who are interested in the "real" world too.

See if you dig them :

I imagine the town connected
City hall turned atmospheric, a golden wheel
A dome with a shimering blue aura, the aquatic state

Wandering minds and high spirits unite
the desperate and dying are interwoven
The ancient secrets of Intelligence
are whispered throughout form
while simultaneously fo orm m rm m looses [place] ]

A Lady of green with seductive tendencies
low collar, that deliciously wicked grin
those eyes - the eyes of loving, the eyes of it all
gaze and enter into my being
Only now do I recognize

We've become obsessed with the screens of externalized mind material
The misfits are behind the moniters we're chained to, never forget

To explore, search, and find the Others
appear to me to be some legitimate reasons for living

So grow, friend, grow!
pass the toy around
Join the game! It's your turn
If you want to dance, sing, and celebrate in harmony
Just realize you CAN dance, sing, paint, act in harmony

Oh grand exhalation
The Great Spirit
Embracing our stimuli and imperfection
Transforms and constantly disassembles
We recollect every morning, attatch signs, symbols

words can only represent the meaning
archetypes allow meaning to become concrete structures, which form and collectivize the stories we tell ourselves

As the light reflects
I/- am aware of all which is
This is all that ever was

Whatever WAS resonates within what IS

Echoing into the mystic chemical ether
of Direct Experience

unbiased contradiction
nuclear tabloids
control, fear, tension ensues
the fingers tingle
the arms grow wild

The reptilian shadow crawls against a scaley, disfigured back drop
Beams of hazy violet light, radiate and wave through the mist
which is swirling and brushing against my skin

HOLY SPIRIT
we
me
all
you
us
it
them
NO ONE
NO THING
Nothing

Who is eavesdropping on the moon?
She doesn't mind

If you're connected to Terence McKenna* in any way; whether it's via his books, audio presentations, or his novelty theory, this post calls yours attention!

Thanks to EROCx1 over at erocx1.blogspot.com for directing my attention over to this newly converted Terence McKenna presentation. I enjoyed the background music, although at times it tends to override McKenna's voice. No matter - this is still a great talk and I resonate with what EROC speaks of when he says , "This complete version is one of his best talks ever. A real treat for both McKenn-ites and McKenn-noobs alike. In fact if I had to recommend only one of Terence's talks, this would be this one." Although the word, "McKenn-ites" is slightly disturbing, eh? . . . ideology (which put simply, is just another mechanism of faith) and category are clouding the mind, remember? :P

EROCx1 Blog: Terence McKenna: Dream Awake - the complete version

click on that, for sure ^

Now that music has just entered the mind I'd like to forward you over to a fantastic musical collective who call themselves, Kasai All Stars. These sonic vibes~~~) are really straightforward and mystic; the sound confronts you and calls you inward. The sound here creates swirling auras and threads of circular cohesion. . . 'think you'll dig it.

Also, Bouncing Bear Botanicals posted a helpful introduction involving the use of entheogens. If someone was new to the world of Entheogens (also known as psychedelics/plant medicines) and curious to learn more, this would be a useful link to start with:

Tomorrow I move into my new place - somewhere to call my own; it's all very exciting. I'm not bringing much, because frankly, I don't need much. As fortune would have it, I work with a few really good people who are generously letting me borrow the pickup truck for tomorrow's endeavors. Sweet.

While we are on the subject, here is a fucking hilarious Craigslist advert for rent space. Even though it's only been online for 12 days, it's already a classic. Thanks to Sancho for posting that link.

Happy New Year, everyone.

I'll leave y'all with a piece I was working on today, inspired from the fractals I was watching this morning:
